OUR COLLEGE STUDENTS We will be starting a Church Mouse Program for our college students in September. We ask that all college students please fill out the attached form with your updated information and return it to the church office as soon as possible. If anyone is interested in becoming a sponsor or would like to sponsor a college student this year, please call the church office at (803) 328-2467. What is the Church Mouse Program? It is similar to a secret pal program in which our members are the mice quietly sending special items, cards, and staying in touch with our college students while they are away. Once you sign up to be a Church Mouse, a college student will be assigned to you for the school year. Do not reveal yourself to your college student until the end of the school year. Below are a few suggestions your college student might like: Send a get-acquainted letter along with a gift (provided by the Christian Education Committee). Tell briefly about yourself, but be careful not to give yourself away. |
Magazines or paperback books Gift cards for a little something from as store like Target or Wal-Mart Stamps, postcards or stationary Letters from everyone Money for a movie, pizza or movie rental |
Pocket change for a Coke or ice cream Card (birthday, holidays, etc.) or a note of encouragement A small notebook A special South Carolina memento |
How about making a little stuff sack? College students always need little stuff sacks (soup, hot chocolate, macaroni & cheese, etc.)Some baked goods like brownies or cookies.
