First Presbyterian Church Rock Hill |
Dear First Presbyterian Parents of College Students, That time of year has rolled around, and college students every where have enrolled in classes and some moved away back to their dorms or apartments. As they have headed off to start a new year we have some exciting news for you and your college student. This year the Church Mouse program will be starting up under the leadership of Christian Education Committee. We are thrilled that this ministry opportunity will allow us to stay connected to our college students while they are near or far away. If your student will be in college for his or first or even last year, we would love to assign him or her a Church Mouse. A Church Mouse is an anonymous FPC member who keeps in touch with our college students via greeting cards, occasional care packages, notes, etc. By doing this, it helps the student feel the support and “TLC” from our church family during their time in college. If you would like to request a Church Mouse for your college student, please go to the First Presbyterian Church website at www.fpcrh.org and fill out a form for your child. The forms are under “Church Mouse” on the Youth Ministries page. The deadline to turn in forms into the church office is September 20, 2009. Forms can be emailed to tai@comporium. 9net. (remove the number 9 in the address by the .net) Copies of the form can be found in the church office and the Sunday Bulletin as well. If you have any questions about the Church Mouse program or would like to adopt a student, please contact the church office at (803) 328-2467. With God’s Blessings, Tai Magette Associate Minister for Christian Education |
